No, Facilitate is an online platform that helps a homeowner facilitate the general contracting process of a more complex project than most traditional DIY projects. Facilitate does this by providing an interactive forum for homeowners to meet project managers online that are local and rated and help guide the homeowner in making decisions, taking measurements, ordering materials and overseeing a hired crew, all for a flat rate fee. Cews for projects like roofing, siding or gutters can all be found on Facilitate and invited to bid a project presented by the homeowner.
All payments are made through the Facilitate platform and confirmation of payment is made by the project manager, crew and a receipt is provided when materials are purchased.
Yes, Facilitate can be used for work from an insurance claim. Facilitate does not get involved in the claim management, however, project managers with claim experience can be found and selected on the Facilitate platform. It is important to know that payment must be made to Facilitate, regardless of insurance funds having been released or not. NOTE - A type of loan that provides funds for the gap of time between the purchase on Facilitate and the payout by the insurance company should be considered. Or perhaps provide instructions on claim work for the Assignment of Benefits to be made to Facilitate for depreciation funds.
All work is warrantied by the executing crew. The crew can be contacted for warranty calls through the platform and documented accordingly.
A homeowner does not have to hire a project manager, however it is strongly advised to do so. Crews can indicate if they require the homeowner to have a third party project manager on their profile. Crews can also offer to provide project management services for the homeowner, such as material selection and ordering assistance. Crews can upcharge for these additional services.
Yes, Facilitate will store all documents, photos and correspondence for future reference.
Homeowner users can select to be visible to other homeowners and also select what kind of information can be shared.
Facilitate offers homeowners the option to turn on a digital No Soliciting sign in the platform to prevent unwanted notifications from filling their inbox. Furthermore, Facilitate also allows for a homeowner to turn on a request for solicitation for a certain task like tree trimming, roof replacement or house painting. In doing so, the homeowner can select certain requirements the vendors must have in order to solicit the homeowner, like no less than 4 stars and 10 projects completed in the last year.
Facilitate only shares basic meta data about its users to better enhance their experience on and off the platform.
Facilitate accepts credit cards and ACH payments. The funds are sent to Facilitate and then paid to the crew and or project manager.
